Vou Rifar meu Coração journeys through Brazil’s romantic, erotic and emotional imagination through the sentimental popular music known as brega. Its lyrics, genuine chronicles of the dramas and joys of relationships, are interwoven with the love stories of ordinary people who open their homes and hearts to the camera.

These accounts meet the testimonies of artists including Agnaldo Timóteo, Amado Batista, Lindomar Castilho, Nelson Ned, Walter de Afogados, Wando and Rodrigo Mell. Music becomes an essential part of the film’s narrative, creating a complex, popular and deeply human portrait of love, desire, betrayal and sexuality in Brazil.
