Rebeca Mora stands out for her attractive voice, with multiple registers and influenced by singers such as Rosa Passos, Elis Regina, Stacey Kent, Ella Fitzgerald or Steve Wonder. Fourteen years ago she began her musical career with a vocal quartet led by Chabela Arnao, a Cuban artist living on the island of La Palma, before moving on to perform live, sharing the stage with Alexander Sputh, which allowed her to define her style. He then moved to Gran Canaria, where he took part in different projects with some of the most important musicians on the island’s jazz scene, such as Paco Perera, Pablo Rodríguez, Yeray Herrera, Jonay Mesa, Tomás López Perea, Satomi Morimoto, Cristina James, José Carlos Cejudo, Javier Infante, Carlos Meneses, David Álamo, Fran Moreno, Mayín….
He has formed part of different bands such as ‘Brasileando’, ‘Parchita Colorá’, ‘Rebeca Mora trío’ (together with the Tenerife duo Touché) and ‘Plátano Swing’. She has sung with the ‘Gran Canaria Big Band’ with the show ‘Esencia latina’; with the string quartet ‘North Sea String Cuartet’, with the project ‘Brazil conection’ and with the musical proposal led by the timplist Yone Rodríguez.
