Born in Kyoto and a graduate of Doshisha University, she lived in Brazil from 1988 to 1993, where she immersed herself in Brazilian music and participated in the Rio Carnival. In 1997, she began her professional career as a singer in Japan, blending the softness of her voice with the Brazilian style.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"503\" data-end=\"794\">She has released two albums \u2014the first in 2006 and <em data-start=\"554\" data-end=\"561\">Perla<\/em> in 2018\u2014 and since 2010 has been teaching bossa nova at NHK Culture centers in Aoyama and Kyoto.
