Rebeca Mora is a Canary Islands singer with a versatile voice, influenced by Rosa Passos, Elis Regina, Stacey Kent, Ella Fitzgerald, and Stevie Wonder. She began her career 14 years ago in La Palma with a vocal quartet led by Chabela Arnao and, later in Gran Canaria, consolidated her style collaborating with leading local jazz musicians. She has been part of projects such as Brasileando, Projeto Brasileiro, Parchita Colorá, Rebeca Mora Trio, Plátano Swing, and Mora Manouche; and has performed with the Gran Canaria Big Band, the North Sea String Quartet, and the ensemble led by timple player Yone Rodríguez. She has appeared at festivals including Tensamba, Fuertemúsica, and Jazz y Más alongside artists such as ST Fusion, Javier Infante, and José Alberto Medina. She is currently a member of Hey Chabón (album Masamadre), collaborates on recordings by Hermanos Thioune and Ojalá Muchá, and co-directs and composes for the children-and-family project Jarea (Cueva Pintada).
