The pianist from Gran Canaria, Cristóbal Montesdeoca, has developed most of his career in Barcelona. From a very young age he fell in love with jazz, Latin music, and Brazilian music.With nearly four decades of experience, he has recorded, toured, or collaborated with artists such as Celia Mur, Javier Colina, Carme Canela, Perico Sambeat, Raynald Colom, Mù Mbana, Tchika, Horacio Fumero, Judit Nedderman, Chop Suey, and Mestisay, performing across Europe, Mexico, Colombia, Morocco, and the United States. His rhythmic versatility, fluid drive, and attentive listening make for a refined, highly expressive pianism.

Melania Piñero, born in Gran Canaria, began her path with the tropicalist-inspired group Os Moticos. She later became the voice of Uma de Quebra, a project promoted by Repercusión Canarias: a Brazilian bloco-style percussion battery with more than twenty musicians on stage and overwhelming energy. She is currently part of projects such as Pindorama and Pé no Chão. Her singing is recognized for its natural phrasing and warm tone—both powerful and delicate at once.

As a duo, Cristóbal and Melania explore sambas and classics of Brazilian popular music, evoking the golden age of its great composers.
