PEDRO ROSA

Pedro Rosa is a Brazilian musician from São Paulo with a largely self-taught musical background. Influenced by Brazilian folklore, jazz, and classical music, he studied sound engineering in Madrid in 2007. Since then, he has balanced his roles as a composer and performer with those of a producer and engineer at his own studio, AraraMusicLab, aiming to ‘surprise, caress and convey messages of hope and tenderness’ through his music. In March 2023, he released his debut album as a composer, Midnight Alvorada, on the Swedish label ajabu!, featuring collaborations with artists such as Mônica Salmaso, Jurandir Santana, Vanessa Moreno, Zé Luis Nascimento, and Ivan Sacerdote.
Currently based in Palma de Mallorca, Pedro Rosa has become a prominent figure on the Balearic music scene. He has performed at festivals such as Tensamba, Jazz Voyer, and Banyalbujazz, as well as in concert halls across Spain, Portugal, and Brazil. He has directed and produced shows like Cores do Brasil and 100 años de Samba, and has contributed to recordings by bands such as Highlands Project, Matutero, SAÓ, and Salvatge Cor. His work combines melodic elegance with a sound sensibility rooted in both tradition and innovation, making each performance a warm, intimate, and authentically Brazilian experience.
