MARACATÚ 4UNO

Maracatú 4.1 was born from a deep love for Brazilian percussion and presents itself as a living space for experimentation, learning, and celebration of the traditional and contemporary rhythms that span the vast territory of Brazil. This project operates as a true musical laboratory in motion, where the rich rhythmic legacy of the South American country is studied, recreated, and shared — from the ritual cadences of maracatú to the explosive grooves of samba-reggae, coco, and ijexá.
Formed by more than 25 percussionists on stage, Maracatú 4.1 becomes a powerful and vibrant sonic experience: a show filled with collective energy, rhythmic precision, and deep respect for Afro-Brazilian roots. Each performance is also an open lesson in musical anthropology — a journey through the cultures that have shaped Brazil’s musical identity over time.
More than just a concert, Maracatú 4.1 is a communal celebration, an act of cultural transmission, and an invitation to wonder, where body, history, and drum beat as one.
