Machiko Watarumi is a Japanese samba vocalist from Yokohama. She began her career in 2005 after being inspired by Brazilian music and the sound of Portuguese. In 2008 she recorded in Rio de Janeiro and released a collaborative album. She has since released albums and performed both in Brazil and Japan, earning recognition for her authentic and elegant samba style.
Makiko Yoneda is a Japanese pianist, composer, and arranger from Chiba. Classically trained since early childhood, she later traveled alone through New York, Cuba, and Brazil, absorbing Brazilian music. Upon return, she co-founded a Brazilian music project and released her first leader album in 2017, earning acclaim in Brazil.
Takeshi Obana is a Japanese musician specializing in 8-string guitar. He has collaborated extensively in jazz and Brazilian music scenes, including notable performances in duo with Etsuko Niwa, and contributions to samba-jazz fusion projects.
