FILÓ MACHADO

Filó Machado is a master of Brazilian music with over 60 years of experience as a singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and producer. He has recorded 13 albums, was awarded Best Songwriter at the 2017 Professional Music Awards, and received a Latin Grammy nomination in the Latin Jazz category.
Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major artists such as Michel Legrand, Djavan, Hermeto Pascoal, Gal Costa, João Donato, Joyce Moreno, Kenny Barron, among many others, establishing himself as a key figure in the international music scene.
He has performed at prestigious venues and festivals around the world — from Carnegie Hall in New York to Java Jazz in Jakarta and the National Theater Sucre in Quito — as well as having a strong presence in Brazilian jazz and popular music festivals.
Filo Machado has also shared his knowledge through workshops at institutions like Berklee College of Music and in countries such as Russia and Belarus.
Between 2020 and 2022, he celebrated six decades of music with concerts, festivals, and international tours, including shows in Norway, the Brazilian Day in Stockholm, and with the Brazil Symphony Jazz, reaffirming his role as one of the great ambassadors of Brazilian music worldwide.
