KAYOKO TASAKA
Born and raised in Kyoto.
Graduated from Doshisha University.
First stage was at a summer festival when she was three years old. Thereafter, she continued to dream of becoming a singer, but life tossed her around and somehow she ended up in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo).
During her six-year stay, she encountered and was fascinated by various Brazilian music and made up her mind!
In Sao Paulo, she learnt bossa nova vocals from a female vocalist, Maria Grassinha.
After that, she dedicated herself to her dream.
After returning to Japan, she studied with Vasco Debritto, a Brazilian musician living in Japan.
Since 1997, she has performed as a guest at Vasco’s gigs, etc., and in 2000 she started performing live.
Currently he performs at Latin live houses, restaurants and bars in Tokyo.
His motto is ‘One day is a lifetime’.
He lives life to the fullest, thinking that a day is a lifetime, but he is careful not to over-explode and run out of breath.
