Aninha Paschoal & Forró do Pulpo
Trio formed by Aninha Paschoal, Diego Santiago and Antoni Crespí. The group performs their own versions of forró, a lively and very rhythmic musical genre from the north-east of Brazil, as well as different styles of Brazilian popular culture, such as coco de roda, capoeira, ciranda, carimbó, samba, among others.
Forró is a style of Brazilian music and dance that originated in the popular festivals in the interior of north-eastern Brazil. Famous and loved throughout the country, the rhythm also has thousands of followers in Europe, which is reflected in the more than 70 festivals organised throughout the year.
Forró do Pulpo used to play weekly at the MaracaClub and today they play gigs all over the island, including private parties and weddings, as well as various stages on the island, having played at venues such as Factoría de So, Port de Sóller, Sa Possessió, as well as festivals such as International Music Day in Pollença, PalmaFolk (Ses Voltes), Mallorca’s Teresetes Festival and the birthday party of the weekly newspaper Mallorca Zeitung (Diario de Mallorca) in Port Adriano.
