Érico Moreira comes from a family of musicians and artists and immersed himself in the world of music at a very young age. At the age of 10, he was already accompanying his father, also a musician and composer in Paraty-RJ.

At the age of 12, he moved to São Paulo, where he started working as a studio assistant to the renowned producer Xuxa Levy. Later, at the age of 17, he dedicated himself mainly to the production of soundtracks for advertising, television and cinema, while working as a sound engineer.

At the age of 24, he recorded his first solo album entitled ‘Pindorama’, where he played almost all the instruments and was in charge of the musical production, recording and mixing of the album. In 2007, he moved to Barcelona, where he joined forces with Barcelona singer Sara Pi, creating a project that lasted 11 years and produced 3 albums, 2 of which were released by Sony Music Spain. In 2022, with a repertoire of more than 100 songs of his own, he returned to his solo project and released ‘Dentro da Matrix’, his second studio album.

LATIN GRAMMY

You can be a musician, composer, performer, producer, arranger, recording and mixing engineer, or perform other functions. However, cases like Érico Moreira, who took on all these responsibilities on his latest album ‘Dentro da Matrix’, are rare.

No wonder this album, produced entirely independently, has been nominated for a Latin Grammy 2022. Produced, composed and mixed by Érico, it competed in the Best Engineered Recording Album category alongside acclaimed releases.

After being nominated for the second consecutive time, Érico has just won a Latin Grammy in this category with the album ‘Canto a la Imaginación’ by Catalan singer Marina Tuset, where he was responsible for the production, recording and mixing, while the mastering was in charge of engineer Felipe Tichauer.

He is currently recording his third studio album ‘Divina Presença’, which will be released in May 2024.
